TextStudent Council. June 1, 1965. 1. The meeting was called to order by president Eric Sunberg at 12:10 p.m. 2. It was moved to dispense with the reading of the minutes and accepted them as typed. Motion carried. 3. Eric read a note from Victor Epperly regarding the Ventures dance last Sunday night. He said he thought that the people attending the dance were denied 45 minutes of what they had paid for. 4. New Business: 4-1. It was moved to accept all warrants issued during 1964-65. Motion carried. 4-2. Nominated for life time passes were: Brian Spencer, John Lindsay, and John Adams. Winning the vote for the male life time pass was Brian Spencer. Nominated for the girls life time pass were: Barbara Corrigon and Judy Barry. Winning the female life time pass was Judy Barry. 4-3. Dean Snyder asked council today if they would consider awarding two life time passes to two anonymous people that were recommended by Mr. Swenson. It was moved to give two life time passes to two anonymous people. Names are withheld in the interest of surprize. Motion carried. 4-4. It was moved that we withhold payment of the check to the Ventures until the price of $185 is met by Van Tonkin. Seconded. Bob Hirth withdrew the previous motion. It was moved that we accept Van Tonkin's four programs for $2000 for next year under the circumstances that we negotiate the $195 in the $2000 price. Motion carried. 4-5. It was moved to accept Nelson Haas as our first athletic Hall of Fame member as recommended by the Hall of Fame Committee. Motion Carried. 4-6. It was moved that the athletic Hall of Fame Committee be allowed to set up its own by laws. Motion carried. 5. Business From The Floor: 5-1. It was moved that we award Miss Gibson a life time pass.
